Ishtar's
mother is Egyptian and her father Moroccan suggesting she was
born to became the lead singer of Alabina. She began her singing
career at the age of 15, and acted in live theatre.
She headed for Australia performing in night clubs, with the dream
to one day return a star. It was when she was lead singer of Cauma
in Paris, that she was spotted by a French producer who asked
her to perform an experimental song combining Egyptian music with
Flamenco rythym. The song was called Alabina.
The four Los Ninos band members are cousins. Since the age of
fourteen they have played as a group, and their passion for music
and performing has lead them around Europe.
Toni is the lead singer and guitarist, playing professionally
since the age of ten. Coco who has performed in the Carribean
provides back up vocals and percussion. Santi who graduated from
the Barcelona Academy of Music, provides back up vocals and plays
the guitar. Ramon provides back up vocals and plays the guitar;
he has been performing since the age of six. The group blend seamlessly
and touch the souls of their captive audience.
